Captain, DAOM, MSAOM, MSHN, MA, The Family Healing Center is an integrative, alternative health care practice that incorporates traditional Western ideology with Eastern and other holistic strategies. This integration of East meets West allows the center to provide specialized treatment for a wide range of health problems.

Christina Captain, DAOM, MSAOM, MSHN, MA
Christina is a nationally board certified (NCCAOM) acupuncture physician and the lead practitioner at the Family Healing Center which she founded in 2000. She earned her degree in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine from the East West College of Natural Medicine, Sarasota, Florida. Christina is the former chief administrative officer, senior faculty member, advisory board chairperson and author of the East West College of Natural Medicine’s Doctoral program in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Christina has received additional training in acupuncture including training at M.D. Anderson in pain management and integrative cancer therapies. She is also qualified by the state of Florida to provide injection therapies. In 2014, Christina co-authored a textbook "Laboratory Analysis for the TCM practitioner" which was published by Jessica Kingsley publishing, UK.
Prior to becoming a practitioner of Oriental Medicine, Christina earned a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and Communication Disorders from the University of Central Florida, Orlando, Florida. She remains an actively licensed speech pathologist in the state of Florida. In addition to Oriental Medicine Christina is trained in a variety of techniques from allergy elimination to facial rejuvenation. Trained in the Mei Zen cosmetic acupuncture, vibrational beauty, and injection bio-rejuvenation systems, Christina has the knowledge and experience to individualize a plan for your specific challenge. Other certifications include advance standing as a practitioner of the Jaffe Mellor Technique. In 2014, she earned a Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, CT and is currently a candidate for the Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with focus in integrative medicine from AOMA - Graduate School of Integrative Medicine, Austin, Tx. (2016).
Christina is an expert Feng Shui practitioner and teacher who studied under Nancilee Wydra of the Feng Shui Institute of America, before originating her own style, Essential Balance Feng Shui. Since feng shui is a branch of Oriental Medicine, Christina often blends feng shui principles into her treatment plans.
Christina’s knowledge and enthusiasm for health and wellness has earned her a reputation as a qualified lecturer, keynote speaker, and experienced teacher throughout the United States.
